A 11-year-old boy is going viral after he H@ck into a replica of Florida’s election results website in 10 minutes and change names and tallies during a H@ckers convention, organisers said, stoking concerns about security ahead of nationwide votes. The boy was the quickest of 35 children, ages six to 17, who all eventually H@cked into copies of the websites of six swing states during the three-day Def Con security convention over the weekend, the event said on Twitter on Tuesday. Def Con said the event was meant to test the strength of the US election infrastructure and details of the vulnerabilities would be passed onto the states. The National Association of Secretaries of State –who are responsible for tallying votes said it welcomed the convention’s efforts. THE POLICE IN LAGOS HAS ARRESTED A 45-YEAR-OLD HOUSEWIFE, HADIJAT KABIR FOR ALLEGEDLY ARRANGING HER OWN KIDNAP IN ORDER TO DEFRAUD HER HUSBAND OF N15MILLION. Muraino Kabir of Governor’s Road, Ikotun reported at the Ikotun Police Station that his wife and 18-year-old daughter, Hamidat Kemi, who is of unsound mind were, kidnapped on their way to Psychiatric Hospital, Oshodi, Lagos. The kidnappers reportedly demanded the sum of N15m before the hostages would be released. A former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, on Monday, said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), will not return to power in the forthcoming presidential election next year. He noted that Nigerians who voted the party into power in 2015 are currently battling with hunger and abject poverty, saying the people are angry with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government. The National Universities Commission has granted Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State Full Operational (Statutory) Licence to operate as a private university in the country. The issuance of the full operational licence to the University followed the institution’s outstanding performance during the commission’s Institutional Accreditation visit to the University. It will be recalled that the Federal Executive Council at its meeting of Wednesday, 22nd February, 2012, considered and approved a Provisional Licence for the establishment the University. The FEC approval was later conveyed to the university by the commission in a letter dated, 28th February, 2012. Nine Serving Corpers have been reported dead in Taraba State. The Corps members were said to have drowned in River Mayo-Selbe in the Gashaka LGA during a Picnic. It was gathered that 22 NYSC members went on a Picnic at the said River. While they were swimming, there was a sudden rise in the volume of the water which swept them away. Out of the 22 members who were present at the time of the incidence, only the ones that were able to swim made it out alive, the nine other members drowned. However, only 7 bodies have been allegedly retrieved from the River, while a search is still ongoing to retrieve the other bodies .
